North Coast Kayak Adventure

Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, Cornwall

Kayaking in St Agnes with Koru is the only way to appreciate the drama of the North coast of Cornwall. In fact this coastline was the inspiration for the drama series Poldark. The sea kayaking adventure starts at Trevaunance Cove which is in the desirable village of St Agnes and we will either head East or West depending on weather and sea conditions. The incredible landscape is part of the World Heritage Cornish Mining and we will show you the colourful cliffs, spacious caverns carved out during the Poldark mining era and secluded beaches. The wildlife is very special both on the land and in the sea from the bird colonies on the cliffs to the likelihood of seals coming out to play. There also has been the sighting of dolphins and basking sharks.

The kayak adventure lasts approximately 2 hours and on sunny day includes a swim on secluded beaches and the possibility of going through impressive arches and caves. In the summer we run 4 tours per day and can accommodate 8 people (on 4 tandem Kayaks) per tour.

Before we start the kayak adventure the guide will go through a detailed safety briefing with all participants and a health questionnaire will also have to be filled out.  Children have to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and the guide will determine whether the sea conditions are suitable for children.

Ocean Kayak KoruWe use Sit-On Ocean Kayaks, which are easy to use and great as a tandem kayak or single kayak.

We provide buoyancy aids, paddles, bottle of water and on colder days a flask of hot chocolate.  We also have wetsuits, wetsuit boots and gloves available to hire.

The guide will take a camera on the adventure with videos and photos available to purchase as a DVD.  We are not liable for personal equipment lost or damaged on any of our adventures.
