We have been blessed with some wonderful warm sunny days this January which we hope is a good omen for the season ahead. With just 10 weeks until we reopen on 1 April we set out on a kayak adventure on the Helford River and Frenchman’s Creek. The sun shining, cobalt blue skies and not a breath of wind. It never fails to amaze us what a truely immersive experience kayaking is.
Our wildlife safari didn’t disappoint with cormorants perched on buoys drying their winds and looking out for their next fish. Kingfishers perched on the low lying branches darting along Frenchman’s Creek, wagtails and ducks. The little egrets yet fly back from warmer climes.
Kayaking along the Helford River and Frenchman’s Creek starts with a beautiful stroll through the Budock Vean Hotel gardens and launch from the foreshore. You can book an exclusive experience with Koru with offers on Private trips which can be just 1 person up to 16 spaces. Our trips usually have groups of up to 8.
If you have something special in mind we can always tailor private trips around you needs. Often with family and friend groups there can be mixed ages and abilities and so we have the opportunity to offer our sister company Helford River Cruises too where kayak trip and boat trip meet on Frenchman’s Creek.
This couple got married and booked guests to enjoy a boat trip and kayak adventure. Here’s their review on Trip Advisor:
