Young deer spotted swimming across The Helford

On 12th May at 10am we set off on a kayak trip from the Budock Vean Hotel towards Frenchman's Creek. As we were approaching The Lizard side of The Helford Rob our guide spotted a young deer swimming across The Helford and it emerged from the water just beneath The Chapel of St Francis of Assisi where it clambered up into the woodland. It looked to have started the swim either from Pedn Billy or Calamansac. We have now seen swimming badgers, squirrels and deer on our trips as well the wonderful normal marine wildlife!
