A baby otter was spotted on Frenchman’s Creek Kayak Adventure yesterday afternoon.
It was sighted at the mouth of Frenchman’s Creek just opposite Percy’s house which see on all our Frenchman’s Creek Kayak Adventures.
Koru Kayaking are delighted to have spotted our first otter! Koru’s guide Dan said: “The whole tour saw it, it was brilliant and we are looking forward to spotting more!”
An otter pup will live with it’s family for approximately one year and so we hope to spot adult otters too! The otter will be more than two months old as it has left the holt and is able to swim. Otters live up to 16 years.
