The sun shining, very few boats moored up on the Helford, we had the water to ourselves. Just perfect for a picnic on Frenchman’s Creek!
Mooring up on Frenchman’s Creek it was so peaceful, just the sound of birds flying around. You can see why novelist Daphne du Maurier was so inspired when mooring up here with her new husband Tommy on their honeymoon.
Enjoy the ambiance by clicking on the photo below and enjoy a video of kayaking along Frenchman’s Creek on this sunny day in February!
Kayaking back along the Helford River we could see down to the sea, empty buoys as the boats have been taken out of the water for the winter we had it to ourselves – magical!
Picnics are available for £10 from the Budock Vean Hotel, orders must be made by 5pm the day before your kayak adventure.
Frenchman’s Creek Kayak Adventures are available daily. To book you simply contact us.
