A Canadian goose was spotted last week at Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes last week!

Not the typical bird sighted on Koru’s North Coast Kayak Adventure we wondered how it had got there.

Researching we found that Canadian geese are actually quite common in Cornwall and there is even a group of residents up at Cligga.

Canadian Geese are largely vegetarian and we don’t usually see them when we are kayaking along the St Agnes coastline as they have little need to find fish from the sea. Canadian geese usually migrate migrate in the summer, but our resident Canadian Geese actually stay here all the year round. Perhaps they like our lovely warm environment.

Koru November herons, egrets, koru kayaking

Much like the egrets who have settled on the creeks seen on our Frenchman’s Creek Kayak Adventure.
